This year is the 10th anniversary of our charity (Working With Men) . Our mission is to reduce significantly the number of boys and men, particularly from socially excluded or disadvantaged backgrounds, who are unable to achieve their full potential and to support them in finding an active and productive place in society. Being male is different for everyone and as such, there are many ways to express masculinity. With a new strategy in place in line with our anniversary we have decided to focus on these key areas over the coming year with a view to supporting better physical and mental health for young men. Service delivery: we work with young fathers, boys/young men in schools and colleges as well as other community setting. Much of our work involves ensuring that young men have the tools and skills they require to express themselves positively as well as helping with the more practical stuff like finding employment and training. Influencing policy: we are currently the secretariat for the All Party Parliamentary Group on fatherhood and will look to increase our work with parliamentarians this year by highlighting best practice and solutions to social issues related to boys and men. We also train others in working effectively with boys and men and produce appropriate resources.
